About
Orlando Javier Jaramillo Gutiérrez, a Colombian-Venezuelan diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome (a condition on the autism spectrum), has shown a deep passion for technology and entrepreneurship since childhood. As an IT technologist, he has spent 20 years providing IT support to small and medium-sized businesses. Backed by a solid educational foundation, he holds certifications in Google IT Support, Google Cloud Security, Google Cybersecurity Professional, IBM Data Science Professional, and IBM Cybersecurity Analyst.
As a social entrepreneur, Orlando has channeled his efforts into creating solutions and projects focused on the Autism Spectrum, a condition he personally navigates. He has authored five books where he shares his challenges and achievements as an individual with Asperger’s, offering valuable insights for families, individuals on the spectrum, and educators. In 2016, he founded “Asperger para Asperger”, a community and solutions hub that provides guidance and support to those living with this condition.
Passionate about the responsible use of technology and aware of the risks of its misuse, Orlando views technology as a tool to empower humanity rather than an end in itself. Following this philosophy, he decided to launch this educational digital magazine that places people at its core. Through this initiative, he seeks to provide the Spanish-speaking world with guidelines and resources on the risks and possible solutions regarding emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence — promoting their healthy and balanced use.
