Digital tools for inclusion at home and at school

Introduction

Digital tools have become fundamental elements in transforming educational processes, both at home and at school. The integration of these technologies makes it possible to create more inclusive learning spaces that are adapted to the individual needs of each student (Fernández-Cerero et al., 2023).

In the current context, educational institutions are seeking to implement technological resources that facilitate access to knowledge and promote the active participation of all students. Digital platforms, interactive applications and educational software offer opportunities to personalize the learning experience (Suárez et al., 2024).

The incorporation of these tools requires consideration of aspects such as accessibility, teacher training and the available technological infrastructure. Studies show that the effective use of digital resources improves the understanding of concepts and strengthens communication skills among students (Concha Abarca et al., 2023).

Families also have an essential role in this process, as technology-mediated learning extends beyond the classroom. Collaboration between school and home is essential to maximize the benefits of digital tools and ensure a comprehensive educational experience (Pazmiño Vaca et al., 2024).

It is important to recognize that the implementation of educational technologies should be oriented towards the creation of inclusive environments that respect the diversity of the student body. Digital tools can be adapted to different learning styles and specific needs, allowing each student to progress at their own pace (Kerexeta, 2022).
